International Conference ''Underwater Cultural Heritage in Europe today'' (Zadar, 25-26 October 2018)

On the occasion of the European Year of Cultural Heritage the International Conference on Underwater Cultural Heritage of the EU and Europe will be organized at the International Centre for Underwater Archeology - UNESCO Cathegory II Centre under the title ''Underwater Cultural Heritage in Europe today'' in October 2018 in Zadar.


The main objectives of the EYCH which suit the best the concept of this conference are to promote sustainable cultural tourism, to develop objective standards for interventions in the historical environment and heritage sites, to fight against illicit trafficking in cultural assests and to manage the threats to which the cultural heritage is exposed.

   The International Centre for Underwater Archeology will organize 2 days expert conference:


The aim of the Conference is to identify key current issues and challenges and to explore how these issues could be addressed and encourage people to explore Europe’s rich and diverse cultural heritage.
